The Cute Cactus Childrens Clothing Boutique Policy & Procedures:
Please read through our consignment policies below. By creating a consignment appointment at The Cute Cactus, you agree to abide by the policies and procedures laid out in this document.
What Is Consignment?
Consignment is a mutually beneficial partnership between the consignor (you) and an authorized seller (us). We sell your gear/clothing at our store, splitting the profits with you. Once your items have been inspected, we pay you by cash payout or issuing store credit to you (see breakdown below).
REQUIRMENTS:
We require that you make an appointment to drop off consignment. Appointments can be made by reaching out by text, Facebook / Instagram messenger, or by coming into the store. We do not accept used blankets (swaddles are approved), bottles, pacifiers, etc.
CONDITION OF YOUR ITEMS:
Great quality. No stains. No rips. No smells. Laundered or freshly cleaned. If items fall against any of these requirements, they will be asked to be picked up or a fee will be charged to your account.
If you want back any items that were not accepted into the store, they need to be picked up within 24 hours of being notified. If they are not picked up within the 24 hours, they will be further donated. Please make sure to note that you would like any items back, at time of your appointment
We aim to be reasonable about providing our consignors an appropriate amount of time to retrieve their items. Please keep in mind that space in our store is limited, and we are unable to hold your unsaleable items indefinitely. If you'd rather not pick up one of your items, we are happy to donate it for you!
There is a 3 bag limit per appointment. Any items over the 3 bag limit, or that put your account over $150.00 in store credit, may be asked to be picked up the next business day.
Please note, once items are dropped off at the store, they are now possession of The Cute Cactus. There is a zero tolerance for complaints of discrepancies of the store credit total provided. We are an affordable clothing store and take pride in staying true to that. We will price items according to those standards. If you are looking to make a fortune on your items, please take them elsewhere.
APPOINTMENT INFO:
Appointments are for dropping items off, and it is not guaranteed that they will be gone through at this time. Items will be inspected within 2 business days. Please provide a phone number when dropping off items, and specify if you wish to be updated on your store credit once items have been inspected. We are happy to always check store credit amounts upon request – feel free to reach out at any time during business hours.
PRICING INFO:
Selling price is initially determined by The Cute Cactus. Typically, we price items 50% below their retail value depending on their condition, although pricing may vary. We do our best to fully inspect your gear/clothing, but we are only human, and we do occasionally miss flaws or imperfections during our initial review. If there was anything missed within the initial review, someone will reach out to you and update you with any changes.
The Cute Cactus reserves the right to refuse any item for any reason. Please be kind and patient with our staff members while they are inspecting your items. If we reject one of your items, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's not in good condition. It might instead be that it is a brand we don't accept or that we are particularly overstocked in a particular section in our store. Space in our store is limited and we receive hundreds of items for consignment weekly, so we appreciate your understanding when we cannot accept your gear/clothing.
CONSIGNOR COMMISSION SPLIT:
We offer two different commission splits:
· 50/50 – when you sign up to use your earned money as store credit.
(if we mark something for $2, you get $1 of that toward store credit)
· 70/30 – when you elect cashed out payment.
(if we mark something for $5, you get $1.5 in cash)
STORE CREDIT:
Your store credit balance is only valid for in-store consignment purchases and cannot be used for any new boutique items.
$150.00 is the maximum allowed to be on a single account at one time.
If your account is inactive for over 1 year, your credit will be dissolved.
CASH OUT PAYMENT:
Cash will be left at the store for you to pick up, at your earliest convince.
All consignment guidelines are subject to change without notice to the consignor.
